Ron, My understanding is that comcast is converting all of its home.com customers to comcast.net, following excite at home going into bankruptcy (which previously handled the home.com e-mail). There has been mass confusion and consternation, to say the least, here in Michigan. Home.com customers could use their old e-mail until Feb. 28th, after which time home.com ceased to exist. My guess is that many of those home.com bounced addresses are in the process of conversion to comcast.net.
