Imidacloprid has feed through effects on beneficial insects - it decreases their reproductive capacity. This material is not
compatible with biocontrol. Starting with this will make it more likely that you will need to use another chemical when the
effects wear off in a few months, since you have killed off the beneficials.

Reducing the amount of nitrogen fertilizer and spraying with soap or oil when pests flare up will lead to a more ecologically
stable landscape and less work in the long run.
