I've learned one lesson. I'm sure most of you long-time columnists know this
but I'll share it anyway.
If you are writing a series about a controversial topic, then make sure each
and every column has at least one paragraph outlining both the issue and
your stance.
My recent foray into cosmetic pesticide bans/regulations at the municipal
level had both the pro and con folks a titch displeased with me. Maybe
that's a nice balance?
