RE: moderation..can be moderating !!

As I read Lon's plea to the group I thought just how often "email etiquette"
has been a problem in any (dare I say, every) group I have joined and it is
very important that we not have to rely on "moderating" to keep the info
pertinent and focused.

With that said, I will suggest that we take Lynn's lead and make sure we
look at the headline of the message and expand on the title, or change it
altogether if our messages we are sending are to be considered...in another
forum I must say that the number of emails deleted is equally balanced by
the continuing "thread", however much it has changed, and by the expected
responses by certain "post-ers"...and I often have been surprised to find
that I've missed some items because of this resistance to take the moment
and focus our current posting to reflect the message that we are sending.

As to the issue that Lynn raised regarding the previous text block, I
suggest she is right, as I am often at a loss of context with the
"shorthand" of email...and it would require more work than need be to search
out the original thread...but I am erasing ALL PREVIOUS text in this message
because that is not required...

Just thought I would share...was going to send this to you personally but am
sending it to the group as I think we all need to hear...and think...these
issues through.
