Re: s: Fish


The response about frog ponds reminded me of one on a property where I was 
paid to pull weeds, etc., fro two years.  It was manmade using a small 
natural depression enhanced with a little concrete. It was under a foot deep 
oval about 2.5 feet by 5 feet. and was emptied several times each summer. The 
owner did not like amphibians, which might clue you into the style of his 
garden.  It might as well have been all concrete walls and compacted shredded 
bark for all that the place had any naturally healthy plants.
The tadpoles were the only healthy organisms on the property.
