Lecture help needed

As so many of you helped me though my writers block last week I'm asking again for help. Somehow writing this all down and thinking of all your replies does wonders to get the wheels greased and working again.

Tonight I need to pack for a 6:30 departure tomorrow morning to Canada. I've torn apart my lecture 3 times now and have 100's of slides spread around my basement. Margaret, I've hit a stone wall and it's something you pointed out in a past post. The lecture topic was listed as "Yet another surprise you definitely won't forget". Ouch! This group has high expectations as I've used props with them in the past. But there's no direction on what topic to do.

This is a Daylily symposium but I'm never called in to talk about daylilies. The truth be told I'd like to fill a carousel with my best slides of all plant material and just go on a garden stroll. But how to tie that in all together? Many of my slides are taken right after it rains so the foliage is wet or covered with dew. I'm tempted to wear a slicker and boots and squirt the audience with a water gun when those slides come up but don't really want to go through airport security and customs with a toy gun. Then part of me would like to do a serious program for once (all my local lectures are quite serious, it's just the daylily people that have gotten the "fluff").

My stomach is actually rolling right now, I've never been in panic over picking a topic. Any suggestions would be welcomed, you can click on m*@optonline.net to send a private reply to me and not clog up everybody else's mailbox.

Thanks in advance,
