Re: Lecture help needed


I often use "props" when I speak and find that having unexpected visual aides can be very helpful.
I think that if they've gotten some fluff before (and obviously liked what you did since they're inviting you back) then you need at 
least something that is similar.  I'd put together your tour with your best slides like you want to do.  Then get a pair of outrageous 
glasses (maybe even the joke kind with eyeballs on springs or something) and say that you are going to give them all “new 
eyes” today.  (Or you could give away a few pair of joke glasses)  New eyes to see new possibilities in the garden, new eyes to 
see new designs and new plants.  

If you have a humorous story about seeing something in a fresh manner, tell it.  And after that talk about your slides 
enthusiastically… I’m sure it’ll be fine.
