Just for The GWL

Folks:
   After the CCA thread, I made some decisions that I hope everyone will be
happy about.  
   In the past, when discussions went too far into gardening, or got a
little heated, I tried to steer them to the Organic-Gardening list.  That
didn't work because the OG list wasn't set up the way I thought.  First, all
the GWL members were supposed to be on that list and weren't, and there were
non-GWL people on the list as well.  Second, the "organic" tone of the list
tended to inhibit GWL members.
   Because of that, I am making arrangements to have a new list set up that
will be strictly for the GWL and will be open to ALL garden discussions.  I
will have it set up with the entire GWL membership so that everyone will be
on the new.  A few of you with "no mail" or "digest" settings may get
regular delivery at first, but I'll try to go through and re-set the new
list to all the old settings, as well.  The list is tentatively named GWL-G,
the Gardenwriters List for Gardening
   No changes will be made in the OG list, but it will essentially be "cut
loose" from the GWL.
   Hopefully this will give everyone a forum to carry on any of the sorts
discussions I've cut off in the past, while keeping the GWL for Garden
WRITING.
