New Time Inc. mag for Wal-Mart

Time Inc. today revealed plans for the less-than-secret launch of its
Wal-Mart magazine, which will now go by the name All You, reports Lisa
Granatstein.
Launching in September, the women's monthly will carry a rate base of
500,000 and will be a newsstand-driven publication initially distributed
by Wal-Mart, which counts for an estimated 15 percent of all magazine
newsstand sales. Other outlets will be added to the mix at a later time.
According to Time Inc., All You will seek to reach "value-conscious
American women," focusing on everything from relationships to home repair
in a high-quality editorial environment.
The magazine's editor in chief will be Isobel Bella Price, who most
recently worked for Time  Inc.'s U.K.-based IPC Media as editorial
director of its five shelter magazines. Diane Oshin, most recently group
publisher of Time Inc.'s Parenting Group, will be All You's publisher.
Time Inc.'s last launch was Real Simple in March 2000, which was the pet
project of then-People Group president Ann Moore, currently Time Inc.'s
president/CEO. Other women-oriented titles published by Time Inc. include
People, In Style and Health.
