Decline in edible gardening
I talk about the decline in edible gardening - kitchen gardens, as we call
them - in the latest issue of KGI newsletter and share our ideas for
reversing the decline:
http://www.kitchengardeners.org/newslettermarch06.html
Although home food production is down dramatically, I remain hopeful too
because people are tuning more into their food, where it comes from, and its
quality. The real challenge for me is teaching people how to garden and
cook again as those skills aren't getting passed on like they used to.
I'd appreciate the list's suggestions for innovative educational activities
that could help reverse this erosion in food production skills.
Thanks,
Roger
