Re: George Ball's NYT op-ed article


Yes, this would be a local town ordinance change. Then obviously ambitions to 
spread it county and state wide.

Right now the town does have a law prohibiting the planting of anything 
invasive/agressive that can spread to a neighbor property and cause damage. Lots of 
folks have ivy and bamboo problems. So I think this is actually a valid rule.

However, some people have been using this current law to say all non-natives 
are therefore illegal and banned. A very broad interpretation and not the 
intention of those who implemented it. Something to keep an eye on...
