Re: LCD Projectors
I was watching some TV sitcom two nights ago, and one of the characters
joked about someone they knew using PowerPoint in a lecture...said something
like, "Sure, it would have been cool, if this were 1996."
I use it myself sometime, but for the most part find it soooooooo
BORING! Especially when there is text on the PowerPoint & then the "speaker"
reads all this same text out loud, word for word....real sleeper material.
More and more I'm trying to get back to what I used to do: use some
interesting plants as props and actually talk to/with my audience.

use a projector that they provide. For garden clubs I've continued to use
slides, but clearly those days are numbered. I will need, in the next year
or less, to buy an LCD projector to take from gig to gig. Any
recommendations? I need one that will be good (bright - clear when
projected 15 to 30 feet away) when I speak to groups of 100 to 150
people...I don't have to worry about the times I present to the large
audiences because those have the projector in place. Suggestions
appreciated.
