Re: stringer, Blogging and decent money
Graham - If the question is aimed at me, I don't usually find it's worth my
while to give talks. The length of drive and time it takes doesn't usually
cover my per diem costs in my rural area. The travel time costs far more
than the extra half hour or whatever so I'd charge the same for a 15 minute
as a 60 minute and let the group decide on the time. I might do one a year
if I happen to know the organizer and can't figure out a way to say no. :-)
But I'm not the one to answer this - I don't consider giving talks a
part of my business model - don't look for them or market for them.
