Re: A change in subject
GWL: Google has pledged to see the end of libraries in under ten years. They look ahead to the time when no scanning will be necessary because everything will be online. This discussion--including the demise of eight-track--has nothing to do with growing old but with the continued advances in technology that will end in complete computer domination and the masscult taking over. This is Tron brought up to date and to a fearful conclusion. Go out and garden! Peter
