HR 875
Everything CL said?ditto that.
My concern is how entities are defined, how laws/agencies are
administered?generalities and specifics are the things that create
unforeseen problems when laws are put into action. For example, when prodded
by TC to point out my problem with 875, one thing that jumped out at me
right away is the phrase describing food producers as ³any farm, ranch,
orchard, vineyard². The word ANY is up to the execs in charge of enforcing
laws to decide what that means. Unfortunately, we don¹t all share the same
view of ?common sense¹ administration.
I don¹t think it¹s alarmist to be concerned about the wording in our laws.
Sometimes people/livelihoods/industries are harmed while the unintended
consequences get straightened out, and small market farming is something
that I personally do not want to see harmed.
In general, anything that encourages the verticalization of our food
production system is of concern to me.
