 *The Perennial Plant Symposium Comes to Boston
 *July 2012
This summer the annual meeting of the Perennial Plant Association takes place in Boston, Massachusetts. The conference includes optional tours before and after the symposium, trips to public and private gardens, a trade show, and retail, grower, or landscape professional talks and tours. 
Selected highlights include:
 *July 4th:*Optional historical tours and fireworks cruise
 *July 5TH:* Public Day Seminars featuring Julie Merservy, Debra Knapke, David Culp, Adrian Bloom, Roger Swain and Laura Deeter. Optional Growers or Retail tours. 
 *July 6th:*Keynote by Julie MerservyâHearing the Stream With Open Eyes - The Evolution of a Designerâ
Breakout sessions including:âSurviving the Worst-Case Scenario: What To Do When A Disaster Strikes Your Businessâ
âRealities of the Virtual Garden Center: Selling On Lineâ and âDesigning with an Eye for Sustainabilityâ
July 7th:Professional tours âBench to Borderâor âDevine by Designâ with the day ending at Tower Hill Botanic Garden
July 8th:Trade Show and Lectures including âTrends From the Trenchesâ by Stephanie Cohen and âTesting New and Unusual Perennials at the Coastal Maine Botanic Gardenâ by Bill Cullina
July 9 & 10: Optional Tours to garden centers and Newport gardens or growers in NH and Maine, and the Coastal Maine Botanic Garden
Lectures, reception and the trade show will take place at the 
Boston Park Plaza Hotel. The room rate is: $129 for Single or Double.
