We tried some this winter. I've tasted better, but they were good for
winter fare. The most attractive aspect was the way they sliced; it's
fairly meaty, so they worked very well for our homemade salsa.
I wouldn't use it for salsa with chips, but for our homemade burritos
it was fine. :) They were sweet, but didn't have that 'green' fresh
flavor I like. They also kept for quite a while -- they started to
wrinkle after three weeks, whereas our Campari tomatoes are only good
for a week or so.
We purchased them at our local Meijer (where I was also introduced to
Opal apples, a new favorite).
