Komato

A friend emailed me asking about this fruit/vegetable, apparently a dark skinned hybrid which she said is the best tomato she has ever tasted, especially in winter. Iâve never heard of it, though I will look now in the supermarket. I looked up the patent information, which didnât help as much as I would like. Anyone have any information/impressions of the Komato?
