Re: asclepias germination

I'm away  from my desk and seed references but as I recall most Asclepias
are 40-70  germinators.  So they require a 90 day period of damp
stratification  at 40F before going to 70F soil temp for germination.  I
confess I  don't remember how long they took to sprout in the 70F phase
(again, I'm  away from my notes)

In the nursery, most species were irregular  germinators in the first year
at the best of times (again to the best of my  memory)  And worse in year 2.
:-)  I never kept seed past one  year.
