Personally, I can't read any HTML mail that's sent out.  I use a text-based
mailer on a UNIX system with no graphics.

I have HTML stripped out of most mailing lists that I run and have a
program convert it to plaintext on my personal email.  To me it's more 
of an annoyance than anything else and usually finds its way into the
bit bucket immediately.  :)
