Start by going to the Natiopnal Gardens Scheme website http://www.ngs.org.uk/ - this is the UK predecessor of the Garden Conservancy... but with lots more gardens, many in London. They have special tours in London during Chelsea week.
One other, in walking distance from the flower show, is the Chelsea Physic Garden - http://www.chelseaphysicgarden.co.uk/.
I'll be at Chelsea too (I've been every year bar one since 1972!!)... though I'm having a year off actually judging the Show this year.

I'm thrilled to be off to London for the Chelsea Flower Show and since it's my first time, I'm wondering if anyone has any tips to share? Also are there any gardens in London that I should see that aren't well publicized? Lon - I am writing stories about it so I hope this doesn't fall too far off the track.
