Re: bats

I was told not to paint a bat-house or bird-nesting box as it is toxic to 
occupants. I have unpainted wooden group bat houses mounted on north and 
south sides of an unoccupied house in Maine, but bats seem to prefer 
sunggling under an unpainted shutter on the west side which receives 
afternoon sun.
