For a couple of years I did a two hour weekly radio show on a regional
station with a couple of satallites. I was paid, and the show was
cancelled when then station went to all syndicated talk. Much cheaper for
them.

My main complaint was that the advertising department didn't understand
the green industry. They wanted to sell ads for garden products the same
way they sold advertising for cars or toothpaste. I tried to inform them
about taking different approaches for different seasons, but their
attitude was, Hey, you know gardening and we know advertising.
