Why didn't my flower blossom? Why did my plant die (didn't water, or
drowned it)?
Perhaps of greater importance is the question, why don't people grow food
crops? I've heard young adults say "Ech, I don't want something that grows
in dirt. I'll get mine from the supermarket." Or "I don't like soft
tomatoes. They're mushy and they have too much taste." Is ConAgra
winning? Will it prevail so that 100% of food is grown or fed by that
organization?
There are many of you who write weekly or monthly columns for newspapers
and web sites. Some of you have call-in radio programs, too. May I pick
your brains? What are the most frequently asked questions pertaining to
gardening? I'm trying to get a sense of what puzzles novice
gardeners. Their questions may give light to some of the subjects we
should be covering on a regular basis.
