Furthermore, Duane is an expert Scot -- I see he is one of the featured
speakers at Longwood Gardens at an all-day conference in June, demonstrating
how to make magnificent container gardens on a very thrifty budget. By the
way, 6-inch impatiens cuttings can root in plain water in about a week and
never stop blooming. Make a few quarter-inch vertical slits in the base of
the cutting's stem to aid water uptake (flower arranging trick).
