For those garden writers contemplating a book, either self published  
or with a publisher, an upcoming conference is the place to be for all  
things relating to the book industry. It is Book Expo America and is  
in Los Angeles at the end of this month at the LA Convention Center.  
Between 30,000 and 40,000 people will be there and you make a lot of  
contacts. I first went in 1985. I used to display my books in the  
exhibits but now, just go, cruise the isles and go to the parties.
