Hi Miranda

Two things - one is that the "soil based" definition of organic goes
right back to Albert Howard's Agricultural Testament

Dear Kathryn:

I agree about "soil-based" systems; of course they are the only thing that
makes sense in normal circumstances. So, no argument there.

And I'm interested to hear that you are testing worm-cast tea against
compost tea. I have just made an informal assessment--no formal trials at
all. But I'm glad to know that your work also suggests this is so. Worms,
along with so much else, are rare here, so we have to import them to create
the casts, but it's well worth the effort.

And as for the lesser celendine--I remember it well. Along with soggy
soil--that, too, is a distant memory from the vantage point of my dry sandy
Florida garden! Good luck with the job.

Best,

Miranda
