Dandelions don't have anchor roots.  My contention is that cgm 
destroys those.  Thus it wouldn't prevent germination of carrots or 
dandelions, if the study I read about is correct.  It does prevent 
germination of crabgrass because my garden is full of that, but my 
lawn, between the garden and the house, has none.  Margaret L
