Southern Living plant shipment

Can anyone shed light on the Southern Living sample plant shipment?  
Along with a well-labeled Verbena 'Princess Dark Lavender' (in fairly 
good condition) and a Penta 'Stars and Stripes' (that arrived dead), I 
also received two plants wrapped in plastic bags (both pretty much 
dead), one with a label saying "Molly" and one grasslike plant with 
writing on the plastic that I can't read because the marking pen has 
been wiped off.  There was no cover letter or packing slip.
