Re: GPS for Garden Design

That makes me chuckle. While I've played around with my husband's laser
range finder (we have ten acres with which I can play), in my garden beds I
measure using twigs which I've cut to 12" and 18". Don't even use a tape
measure! As for the size of beds -- I just keep digging until it "looks
right", size-wise! (Besides, the range finder is his "toy"; mine is the
little Mantis tiller, which I persuade him to use in rocky areas where it's a
bit tough for me to use!)

A decent fifty foot tape measure runs about twenty. A string tied with
knots
every foot even less.
