Re: GWL GPS


The lack of close-in accuracy of GPS is due to the satellite system currently used. A new system is in the works, according to the LA Times:

It says that today, the margin of error on GPS is 20 feet or more(not great for gardening!), but the new system -- costing $8 Billion -- will have pinpoint accuracy. Doesn't sound as though it's gonna happen instantly, though.
