Re: natural weed control
I'd be interested to try Burnout. I have a problem with ground ivy and
nothing, including Roundup, gets rid of it. Boiling water only works if
the water is poured in copious amounts while it's still bubbling --
dangerous and lots of trips to the stove.
I have used a propane torch (originally purchased for melting ice on
steps) with moderate results. I've used it on pavement and loose gravel.
It takes a long time to do individual plants if they hold a lot of
moisture, and the weeds come back the next season, but you don't have to
bend or kneel :-) .
