Hey Doug,

I wonder if this is a repetition of the 2011 report on this same thing,
where Blogger was going to become Google Blogs and Picasa become Google
Photos.

I bought a domain name through Blogger in 2012. They stopped doing that.
Then this year they returned with a vengeance with Google Domains, which
will probably push out GoDaddy and others. I needed a business domain, so I
got Google Apps for Business, which comes with website hosting (via third
parties) and access to Blogger.

Seems like a bad business decision on their part to dump Blogger when they
are rolling out domain names, but it wouldn't be the first time. I hope it's
only a rumor, since I cut my teeth on Blogger and have a blog and three
websites on it. But I appreciate the heads-up, since I'll be setting up a
new website soon.

Rumour!  (I hope that's clear) :-)

But it's been passed around on more than one site I read so...

Some folks are speculating - now that Google+ is changing and morphing into
?? about what the Big G will do to Blogger and Feedburner.

My .02 on this btw is that there's no need to panic or move if you're on
Blogger.  If they close it down, then they'll give you lots of time to move
your blog.

And if that happens, I'll sort something out to help fellow garden writers
move to Wordpress.

Just saying if you hear this rumour, not to panic.
