Any suggestions on a blow torch weed buster?

Help dear garden gurus... I need to non-chemically kill knotweed and
ranunculus...anybody have experience with the best practices with
blow-torches? There are many on the market. I was looking for a backpack
model. Knotweed, Polygonum multiflorum, is the scurge of Cashiers, NC.
