I've been using 30% vinegar concentrate with a little dish soap
to act as a surfactant and help cut through some of the plants'
natural oils.
It seems to be one of the few things that works on Bishop's gout
(Aegopodium podagraria). The leaves turn gray and crispy within
a few hours, although I have to reapply it regularly because the
roots aren't killed by the vinegar. If it's done regularly
enough the plants will eventually starve to death.
