[GWL]: New Book for Florida Gardeners
Hi! I see this list as being for both inter-writer news and chat, plus new
product news. I couldn't possibly deal with a second, all-commercial list.
And I wouldn't be without this one -- it's been great. We should all be
careful with the titles of the postings so that it is easier to skip those
that don't pertain to or interest the reader.
This discussion comes at the same time as the release of my new book, "A
Cutting Garden for Florida, Third Edition." The copies just arrived in my
warehouse [read, garage] yesterday. I am coauthor with Monica Brandies, and
I am also the publisher. Usually I publish the work of others, but I'm
getting back to my roots here. So with such an invitation from Lon, I'm
letting you all know about it. The last book I published was on garden
troughs (by Joyce Fingerut and Rex Murfitt), and won an award from the
American Horticulture Society.
If any of you book reviewers would like a review copy of the Florida book,
please send me the contact information off list, to bbmackey@prodigy.net .
This book is intended only for Florida gardeners but has some relevance in
other deep-south states.
