RE: [GWL]: GWAA Symposium Report--Short Version

Good morning Jeff and all the others who attended the symposium...I wish I
could have been there...it was not the fear of flying!! :) Having been to
only one symposium, I am really not as knowledgeable as you, but I sure did
enjoy my first and look so forward to the one in Seattle...August 3rd I saw?
I know so few of you, but appreciate your role in education so much and want
to put faces to the names I see here on the list. I truly missed giving Doug
the gears for all the hassle he gives me..:D

My work is a bit different from yours but I think complements it and exposes
it to so many gardeners...you speak about the internet not having a presence
there, that is too bad, but with all the changes that have taken place I can
understand.  As to why internet sites don't get more interest, I can't
answer that.  I do know that countless times, I have writers asking me about
items on the site, so I know it get used for reference.  We even submitted
our site for judging this year, but it did not pass muster, so we continue
to grow and perhaps some day, all the work that goes into putting a site
together will be acknowledged as it should.  It's not for the judging that
we do it for anyway...we are going into our sixth year and very proud of the
fact that we are still around to talk about it..

Glad to hear you are all back, the list has been minimal and you have been
missed!
