Re: [GWL]: GWAA meeting

Jeff,

Well at least there's one thing you don't have to speak to Bob LeGasse
about, and that is to run the column on companies willing to send GWAA
members review copies of plants and tools.

I spoke with him at the first timer/mentor reception and he said he'd
have no problem running the column, as long as someone else did the
writing.  I mentioned that you'd be willing to put together the copy.
He asked that we make it clear that the column is simply a list of
companies willing to be contacted by GWAA members interested in trying
out new product for the purpose of reviewing, and that no response by
any of the listed companies is guaranteed.  I said I didn't think that
would be a problem and that of course we understand that each company
will decide whether or not to honor an individual request.  His point
was that certain members are bound to get a better response (because
their audience is wider, they make a better pitch, whatever) and that he
doesn't want to be inundated by members complaining that they never got
the free tulip/daylily/hand trowel they requested.

Would you like to contact Bob regarding the deadline for text, or would
you prefer that I do it?
