RE: [GWL]: GWAA meeting

Lon,

Do not worry.  The issue will be addressed by the board and all will be fine
or there will be a fairly big flap.  LaGasse and the current executive
committee can be a bit controlling these days; but stuff like that passes as
new members take office.  In the meantime, here is my plan for the good of
the order.
First, I confess, in all my own flapping around with my business I never did
send in the article I wrote for the newsletter about GWL.  I will rectify
that this week.  If Bob decides not to run the article, then I will go to
the board who will definitely listen to me.  Remember, we have on the list a
fair number of very influential GWAA members including the entire technology
committee.  It is through that committee that I have official board access.
I fully intend to also convince the board to include the list of companies
offering products and plants for testing to be posted on the GWAA web site
just as it will be posted somewhere to be accessible to GWL members.  Again,
if LaGasse has a problem, we will work it through the board, and if they
have a problem, I will go straight to the membership.
GWL should not be part of GWAA.  It should stay neutral and stand by itself.
However, GWAA members should be informed of the existence of GWL so they on
their own can choose to join or not join.  Members of GWL should not have to
join GWAA, even though I suspect the GWL will be a good source of new
membership to GWAA over time.
I'm glad you raised the issue Lon.  Doreen did the right thing and hit
bureaucracy.  I will get my act together and do what I said I would do in
the first place. Sorry to be such a procrastinator, but I think everything
will work out okay.
