RE: [GWL]: Looking For A Source
Claude and others,
Hello. It is easy to grow. I got mine in June and haven't had a bit of
problem with it. I could not find scoria rock, so I planted mine in a
mix of soil (very little) and orchid bark. I have it growing under a
grow light in my indoor greenhouse. The temperature here is 80 degrees
day and night because of my cocoa tree and other tropicals that cannot
take lower temperatures.
I got my Worseyla from Daryl Geoghegan, who also hosts a Worseyla forum.
His email is plants_man@bigpond.com and I do believe he is in Australia.
It has not flowered because it is too small at this point, but really it
is no different than any other bulb I have grown except it doesn't go
dormat. I have made a deal with a tissue culture company to propagate
it as soon as it produces offsets. I am intending to send them two
other bulbs as well, Hippeastrum cybister and Haemanthus albiflos var
maculta.
I have an article I wrote on this bulb here
