Leaf burning issue

Hi all,
Does anyone have information about the evils of leaf burning. I saw a report somewhere (???) listing the harmful chemicals released into the atmosphere as leaves are burned. According to the report, burning leaves are much more toxic than burning wood. I would love to be able to cite this as another compelling reason for composting or mulching leaves.
