Dear
Penny,
Thanks! See
below.
Fran
Fran
Gustman attended her first Garden Writers Convention. She says, "By
hook or by crook, I'll get to Vancouver!"
She continues as editor
for HortResources Newsletter, for northeastern horticultural fanatics
and those in similar zones, and is the new editor of the Ecological
Landscaper, a national newsletter for the Ecological Landscaping
Association, which promotes using the Earth gently. Both newsletters
are non-profit and volunteer writers and photographers would receive
lots of thanks.
-----Original Message-----Ellen Zachos gave a presentation on Career Niches in Horticulture to the horticultural staff at the Bronx Zoo. She also just finished teaching a four week class on rooftop and backyard gardens at the New York Botanic Garden. As coordinator for the continuing ed gardening program at the NYBG, Ellen is actively seeking new teachers for the program. "If anyone is interested, please contact me at ez@acmeplant.com. I'm looking for new class ideas, and would also like to know about members with solid gardening backgrounds who might be interested in teaching additional sections of existing classes."
