Re: Blog Announcement

I've enjoyed perusing Garden Bytes from the Big Apple and just want to
respond that the Ellens are doing lots of things right, imho.
    - They boldly and prominently identify who they are, with photos and
soon-to-be-added contact info. Why people don't do this is beyond me; the
benefits to a writer seem so obvious. Frankly, I'm so frustrated when this
info is missing I rarely come back.
    - They found someone to create a custom design for them, which is
mandatory for a professional-looking blog.
    - And it's regional, which is SO cool. I love blogs like theirs that
are about something more than just the blogger and his/her garden, in this
case covering a metropolitan area.
It was such fun speaking to y'all about blogging at the symposium and now
seeing writers putting their creativity into this new medium that's so much
fun. Susan at GardenRant.com and SustainableGardeningBlog.com
