No. I do talk and write about plants I'm sent if they succeed. But...they
must be outstanding and perform for a couple of seasons, in the case of
roses and perennials, or be so visually overwhelming that people ask "What
is that?"

I like to talk to plant breeders and propagators to find out what is in the
pipeline and then seek out more info from other sources. I also talk to
display gardens that get Fleuo Selects and other intros a couple years ahead
of everyone else. I may photograph them at nearby display gardens. I also
get photos from the plant company or breeder to use in my talks.

There are many plants that I grow from the samples sent that I don't tout.
I'm in a harsh climate (Zone 4b) and I look for the unique, not the
ordinary.

OK, all you plant company people on the listserv, now you know! I'm a tough
critic. :-)
