Re: Cool catalogs

Just a thought: I got a new seed catalog in the mail the other day (when I 
ordered some Pearly Everlasting seeds from them)....Horizon Herbs, from 
Williams, Oregon. It was called Seeds of Medicine, Seeds of Sustenance. I 
ended up spending several enjoyable hours reading & underlining things in 
this catalog....lots of interesting, different seeds, and the guy who writes 
it, Richard "Richo" Cech seems to know a ton about odd medicinal tidbits. 
Anyhow, I highly recommend it, but I'm curious if those of you out there 
don't have some other seed or plant catalogs that also might make for a 
fascinating read on some of these long, colder fall nights? Any 
recommendations?

PS. I also have a linked-in account and for a long time I couldn't get into 
it either....not sure how I resolved that. Have actually met a few 
interesting new contacts from linked in. Working away here on the new book, 
The Allergy Fighting Garden, Ten Speed Press and Random House....manuscript 
due in April. If anyone thinks up any plants I never did include in OPALS 
section of Allergy-Free Gardening but probably should have....please drop me 
a line sometime. (At this advanced age of mine, I confess I'm finding it 
tricky keeping up with the ever-increasing flow of new perennials into the 
trade.)
