Re: LInked In And Endorsing

I have never asked anyone to endorse me but out of the blue, people do! I suspect that LinkedIn sends out requests.
When I joined initially,  the LinkedIn folks indicated that some of the people on my contact list were members and asked if I wanted to invite them to connect with me. I thought, well Geez, if they're already members, sure! Well, every single person on my contact list was sent an email with a request to connect with me on LinkedIn. A year later, I still have people telling me that they're sorry, they don't use LinkedIn.  (They're still regularly getting requests.)

I want to add that I have several of my other email addresses in my contact list... and, a year later, I'm still getting invitations to connect with myself. I think that somehow, when you give LinkedIn permission to use your contact list, they hijack the whole list and continue to use it - forever and ever. I don't know how to stop them!  Be warned.
