Re: [GWL]: common questions

You askedow to get a pineapple to bloom.  Ethelyn gas does the trick.  I
grow ornamental pineapples commercially in Costa Rica which are exported to
Germany and New York as cut flowers.  The average homeowner doesn't want to
go to the expense (or bother) of using ethelyn gas but I believe they can
tie a whole unpeeled apple next to the pineapple and the gas that will be
released by the apple should do the trick.

Would you be interested in doing something on ivy for your column?  I would
work up something aimed specifically for your climate?
