[GWL]: Hansa rose
Oh boy, I don't know my roses very well at all when you ask me to compare CI
with Hansa. I have, for the past 9 years of operating a nursery, refused to
sell roses because of the disease issues. Last year I was offered ( by the
Big Grower ) a list of half a dozen to try with the assurance thaat they
wouldn't need chemicals. Sure enough.....I never sprayed once and they
still look wonderful and many are still blooming.
Hansa is a rugosa. A semi-double, dark wine/burgundy color. Very strong
fragrance.
Another that I had, which I swore I was going to plant next to our restroom
and sold them all before I had the chance, was called 'Tamora'. It's a
peach color, and also fragrant, but not like Hansa.
Good luck with whatever you find.
