Title: Re: [GWL]: Idiotic Questions
My idea of good garden humor is what Pat Stone puts in his wonderful magazine GreenPrints. But then Pat knows humor WELL - all those years writing about Plumtree Crossing in the old Mother Earth News. A very close second (though it's more humor about life, not specifically gardening) is Patrick McManus's work. If you can read about the likes of Rancid Crabtree and not burst out laughing, you are one grim person. Even the titles of the books are funny - e.g. "The Night The Bear Ate Goombah" To anyone who wants to write garden humor, I'd say go read those two examples to know how it's done. -Lon ---------- From: Dan Heims <hortiholic@home.com> To: Gardenwriters@topica.com Subject: [GWL]: Idiotic Questions Date: Mon, Oct 22, 2001, 9:12 AM What percentage of gardening books are humorous?
