Good Topic ! As a participant in the Nursery Trades
for 30 years,it's easy to tell why some companies are successful and others are
not. Education... It's easy to convince a General Manager or Owner of
any Retail Garden Center to try a New Plant Product ,but if that Manager or
Owner does not forward the information or discuss it with the front line staff
members,no matter how good the New Plant may be,it will only be purchased by
circumstance. My feeling at this time is the consumer may be actually ahead of
both the producer and the seller. The consumer has the time to read articles
which are written by members of this list and I would be surprised if owners
within the Trade read what their customer is reading. The Garden Writers
community has a powerful tool (your pen) to create changes in The Nursery Trades
from the consumer up, rather than from the Grower down.
